Xiaomi Mi A2 expected to launch at the brand’s August 24th event in Spain

Xiaomi’s upcoming Android One smartphone, the Mi A2, has been the subject of a number of leaks and reports lately. We have already seen a few live images of the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone. The phone was also recently spotted on a Swiss electronics retail portal, which revealed the specs and pricing details of the device. Now, the company has scheduled a global product launch event in Spain on July 24th, where the brand is expected to launch the Xiaomi Mi A2 smartphone.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 is rumoured to launch as the global version of the Mi 6X, which was launched back in April in China. The phone is expected to feature an all-metal unibody design and boot the stock version of Android. The Android One offering is said to sport a 5.99-inch full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display, and utilise a Snapdragon 660 processor. The device is tipped to come in multiple RAM and storage configurations – 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB.

The Mi A2 is expected to come with a 12-megapixel primary shooter at the rear, aided by a 20-megapixel secondary snapper. For selfies, the handset is said to arrive with a 20-megapixel front shooter. The sensors on board will include a fingerprint scanner and an Infrared sensor. The 4G LTE-enabled offering is expected to be powered by a 3,010mAh battery.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 is rumoured to be available in a number of colour variants – black, rose gold, red, gold, or blue. We should have official details in the coming days, so stay tuned.
