“The Mi Max 3 is expected to come with a 6.99-inch display and 5500mAh battery”

Xiaomi has scheduled an event for July 19th, in China, where it will announce the Xiaomi Max 3. The brand confirmed the news through the social networking site. The phablet will be succeeding the Mi Max 2 (review), and is expected to offer even bigger screen and battery.

Donovan Sung, the global product lead for Xiaomi, wrote in his tweet Mi Fans, something BIG is coming! Bigger screen, bigger battery. Mi Max 3 is launching next Thursday on July 19. Help us spread the good news!“, followed by #Xiaomi and #MiMAX3.

Although the company hasn’t divulged any specs of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3, past leaks and rumours indicate a 6.99-inch Full HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, making it the first Mi Max series phone to come with minimal bezels. The handset is expected to house a 5500mAh battery. Further, leaks suggest that the Mi Max 3 will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 mobile chipset paired with multiple RAM and storage variants. These may include 3GB + 32GB, 4GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB. The handset is said to come clad in a metal unibody, and sport a fingerprint sensor on the back.
