OPPO F9’s hands-on image and official posters show the phone in its full glory

OPPO has started teasing the features of its soon-to-be-launched F9 and F9 Pro smartphones, which will come with the Essential Phone-like notch. The phones are expected to be launched in the Indian and Malaysian market pretty soon. Most recently, 91mobiles managed to reveal the complete specs of the F9 Pro. Now, the promo pictures and hands-on images of the OPPO F9 have surfaced on the interwebs, leaving nothing to the imagination.

As per the images, OPPO will be launching the F9 in two colour options of Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue. The phone’s alleged hands-on images show it with shimmery glass back panel aided by a diamond-cut pattern, similar to the one on the RealMe 1. Moreover, the handset can be seen sporting dual cameras with LED flash, a fingerprint sensor, and ‘OPPO’ branding on the rear. From the front, the handset seems to be dominated with a “Waterdrop” display with a notch up top and a chin at the bottom.

As for the specifications, the OPPO F9 is touted to come with VOOC fast charging support and an impressive screen-to-body aspect ratio. The company hasn’t divulged any of the hardware details, but as per our sources, the bigger sibling — the F9 Pro — is expected to come with a tall 6.3-inch IPS display and MediaTek Helio P60 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. The camera department comprises dual 16MP + 25MP sensors at the back. A 3,400mAh battery is expected to power the smartphone, which the brand is claiming will be able to offer two-hour talktime from just a five-minute charge, thanks to VOOC technology. 

The Chinese OEM will launch the smartphone in Vietnam on August 15th, and speculations are it will go live in other markets of Asia on the same day. The OPPO F9 Pro is also expected to be launched in the country soon after
