Samsung Galaxy On8 with 6-inch Infinity display launched for Rs 16,990

After announcing the Galaxy On6 smartphone last month, Samsung went ahead and launched the Galaxy On8 smartphone in India today. The handset had been the subject of many rumours for quite some time, and now it has been made official. It comes with Infinity display, dual rear cameras, and decent battery capacity. Just like its younger sibling, the Galaxy On8 will retail exclusively on the e-commerce platform, Flipkart and Samsung Online Shop.

As for the specifications, the Galaxy On8 features a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with thin bezels and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC ticking at its core, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, which is further expandable up to 256GB through a microSD card slot. The Galaxy On8 comes pre-loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI software and Samsung Mall that uses AI to let users shop by clicking a picture of the desired product. 

In the camera department, the Galaxy On8 dual-rear cameras feature a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.7 and f/1.9 aperture lens, respectively. The rear camera delivers Live Focus feature along with Background Blur Shape, Portrait Dolly, and Portrait Backdrop. As for the selfie, the handset equips a 16MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture lens. Powering the handset is a 3,500mAh battery, and for security, it has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy On8 price in India is set at Rs 16,990, and it will be available for sale across the country August 6 2018 onwards. It comes in blue and black colour options and few introductory offers like No Cost EMI, Special data offers and more.
