Xiaomi’s POCO F1 smartphone’s unboxing and hands-on video leaked ahead of launch

Earlier today, Xiaomi‘s new sub-brand POCO announced that it will be launching its first smartphone dubbed the POCO F1 at an event in India in New Delhi on August 22nd. Ahead of the unveiling, we have already seen a number of leaks and reports regarding the features and images of the smartphone. Now, the phone’s unboxing and hands-on video has been leaked on the interwebs.

The video shows a proper unboxing of the smartphone, showing off the retail package and accessories. It looks like the POCO F1 will feature a plastic body and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone will flaunt a notch above the screen with Xiaomi’s face scanning hardware inside. The device will come with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display, and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC.

Furthermore, the video suggests that the POCO F1 will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage on board. At the rear, the handset will offer a dual 12MP + 5MP camera setup at the rear. For selfies, the device will offer a 20MP shooter. A 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support will keep the handset alive. Software-wise, the smartphone will boot Android-based MIUI 9, and will come with a special POCO theme.
