OnePlus 6T allegedly spotted on an e-commerce site; reveals specifications and features

“The 6T is reported to run the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box”

It was just recently that OnePlus confirmed that the brand is working on the sequel of OnePlus 6 (review), called the OnePlus 6T. The smartphone will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and is expected to launch on October 17th. Now, ahead of the handset’s release, it has allegedly surfaced on an e-commerce website, Giztop, along with its renders, specifications and price tag. As spotted by Mobigyaan, the listing mentions that the OnePlus 6T isn’t available for purchase till October 16th.

The website reveals that the 6T will feature waterdrop notch and triple rear cameras. Both of these features fall in line with the previous leaks. As for the specifications, the handset is said to sport a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 6 protection and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.5 percent. On the camera front, the OnePlus 6T is said to sport a combination of 20MP, 12MP and a TOF 3D camera on the rear panel with LED flash. As per the listing, there’s a 25MP selfie shooter placed on the tiny cut-out atop the display.

In other aspects, the 6T seems to be similar to the OnePlus 6. The smartphone will come powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC, which is paired with the either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Last but not the least, the OnePlus 6T will reportedly boot Android 9.0 Pie-based Oxygen OS out of the box and house a 3,500mAh battery. Interestingly, the battery is said to support VOOC fast charging — OPPO’s latest technology, instead, of OnePlus’s popular Dash Charging. We’re little sceptical about that, though.

As per GizTop, the OnePlus 6T will come with a price tag of $569 (~ Rs 41,000) and buyers can choose the device between two colour variants of Red and Mirror Black. Considering that it’s just a listing on an online website, we’d advise you to take this with a pinch of salt.
