LG Q9 alleged render reveals a notch-toting display; launch limminent
“The Q9 is expected to be the upcoming mid-range offering from LG with Snapdragon 660 SoC and a beefy 3,550mAh battery”
LG is expected to refresh its Q-series lineup with the launch of the new Q9 smartphone shortly. The handset was first spotted on a couple of certification sites back in September. Now, the image of the unannounced LG Q9 has been leaked online (courtesy: MySmartPrice). The mid-range offering from the South Korean phonemaker is said to be the first Q-series device to sport a notch. Unlike its sibling – the LG Q6, Q7, and Q8, the LG Q9 will have a cut-out atop the screen and a 19:9 aspect ratio.
Furthermore, the LG Q9’s leaked image (above) shows slim bezels on the sides and forehead and a chin at the bottom. The right edge of the phone seems to house a power button, while the left edge flaunts volume rocker. Interestingly, the design looks similar to LG’s flagship G7 smartphone. Unfortunately, we can’t tell you anything about the rear panel of the handset for sure, but we can expect a dual camera setup and fingerprint sensor.
LG Q9 Specifications
Based on previous leaks and rumours, the LG Q9 is speculated to equip Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC, accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 32GB/ 64GB storage options. The phone will reportedly sport a 6.1-inch panel with a resolution of Full HD+ (2,160 x 1.440 pixels). The handset is likely to boot a custom Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, and in terms of connectivity, it’s tipped to support NFC, dual-SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ GLONASS. A beefy 3,550mAh battery is expected to keep the show running.
That’s all we know so far! Other information of the LG Q9 such as camera sensors, price, and availability are not known at the moment. However, stay tuned to keep getting the updates as and when it’s there.
