Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ get new Ice Blue gradient colour option: price, availability
“Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ Ice Blue gradient colour option is only available in China for now”
Samsung has launched the first ever gradient colour option for its flagship Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones. The new colour option is currently limited to the Chinese market, but may make its way to other countries too if the company sees a good response from buyers. This adds to the eight already existing hues in which buyers could get the handset, including the new Purple and Burgundy colours.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 price for the Ice Blue colour variant is RMB 5,199 (~Rs 54,000), while the Galaxy S9+ model in the same hue costs RMB 6,199 (~Rs 64,700). The two smartphones will each come with a free wireless charger and data cable. Other than this, both the smartphones are the same as the variants in other colours options. Both the models in the new colour are available for purchase in China starting today.
Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ sport Infinity Displays measuring 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch, respectively with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Both flaunt QHD+ curved Super AMOLED panels and are powered by an Exynos 9810 processor or Snapdragon 845, depending on the market. While the Galaxy S9 features 4GB of RAM, its bigger sibling ships with 6GB of RAM. Storage options for both include 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, with support for microSD cards of up to 512GB capacities.
In the camera department, the Galaxy S9 has a single 12MP rear snapper with dual aperture, while the Galaxy S9+ gets dual 12MP sensors. As for the selfie camera, buyers will get 8MP autofocus camera with f/1.7 aperture on both handsets. In terms of the battery capacity, the devices get 3,000mAh and 3,500mAh packs, respectively. The IP68-certified duo also boots Android Oreo out of the box, but are slated to get the new One UI and Android Pie soon.
