Xiaomi Mi 9 renders and specifications leaked; to come with 6.4-inch display and Snapdragon 8150 SoC

A recent leak hinted that Xiaomi‘s Mi 9 could be the first-ever mainstream smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm’s next – Snapdragon 8150 chipset. Other reports have hinted at a triple camera module, under-display fingerprint scanner and wireless charging. Now, the popular leakster Benjamin Geskin has shared a render and alleged spec sheet of the upcoming flagship.
The render shared by the tipster shows a display with high screen-to-body ratio. There is a display notch which is the size of a waterdrop notch but has the shape of a more conventional notch. Speaking of the display, Geskin has speculated that the smartphone will come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, there is no word on the display resolution. Moving to the rear panel, we can see a glass back with triple camera module. The first two cameras are housed in an oval module with LED flash in the middle and the third camera is located below the main module.

Speaking of the cameras, the primary sensor is rumoured to be a behemoth 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 shooter. If the rumours are to be believed the rear setup could comprise of 48-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 16-megapixel setup. As for the performance, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8150 and up to 10-gigs of RAM. Geskin also speculated that the Xiaomi Mi 9 could go official as the first 5G smartphone from the brand. Lastly, a 3,700mAh battery with Quick Charge 5.0 and wireless charging support completes the spec sheet.
We can expect the smartphone maker to launch the Xiaomi Mi 9 in the first half of the 2019. However, there is no word on the pricing of the smartphone at the moment.
