Xiaomi devices spotted on 3C certification site; expected to be 2019 Redmi smartphones

A couple of unannounced Xiaomi handsets with model numbers M1901F9T and M1901F9E have allegedly been cleared by 3C certification site in China. The identities of the handsets are not clear yet, but they are speculated to be the next-gen Redmi smartphones. Furthermore, as reported by MySmartPrice, the “M19” at the beginning of the model number suggest that the devices are not likely to launch until the new year. 

Unfortunately, there isn’t much to talk about the two smartphones except that they will support 5V 2A charging due to the limited information revealed by 3C. That suggests the Xiaomi handsets in the making are budget offerings. For more details, we have to wait until the next development from Xiaomi. Moving on, since the smartphones have passed the certification, it may not be too long before they are officially unveiled.

In related Xiaomi news, the company recently launched the Redmi Note 6 Pro (review) smartphone in India. The successor to the Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with quad cameras, a whopping 4,000mAh battery with fast charging, and a 6.26-inch Full HD+ notch toting display. The handset is driven by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB expandable storage. Powering the Note 6 Pro is Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10. For photography, the setup includes a 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors on the rear and 20-megapixel + 2-megapixel shooters on the front for selfies and video calling.

The Redmi Note 6 Pro priced in India is Rs 13,999 for the base model, while the top-end variant costs Rs 15,999. The handset comes in multiple colour options such as Black, Blue, Red, and Rose Gold.
