You’ll soon be able to save Call Screen transcripts on Pixel phones
“Some Pixel 2 and 3 users have reportedly already received the feature”
Call screening has been one of Pixel’s most standout features and although it’s been a while since it was rolled out, Google surprisingly missed the much-requested transcripts. By activating call screening you can have Google Assistant converse with the caller on your behalf. You can even select questions for the Assistant to relay to the caller. These conversations transcript displays on your screen in real time. However with previous version, the transcript used to get deleted as soon as the call was over. But now with this new addition your call transcripts will get saved in your phone and will be accessible from the Google Phone app by going to Recent calls > Call Details > See transcript.
Spotted by a few Redditors at first, the feature it seems is rolling out to Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 devices. Although there’s been no official word from Google as yet, and a few other reports have suggested that not everyone has received this feature. But judging from the screenshot of the feature uploaded by Reddit user Rjmiller416‘s using his Pixel 2XL, it shouldn’t be long before everyone gets it. And since Google was already transcribing calls on the screen in real-time, the ability to save these transcripts was more than expected with the launch of screen call. Anyway it’s here now and will hopefully make this interesting feature even better.
