After a barrage of leaks and rumours, Lenovo Z5s smartphone has arrived in the Chinese market. The company took the wraps off the device today, and unexpectedly, it carries a waterdrop display notch instead of a hole for the front camera sensor. Apart from this, it comes with a glass sandwich design, triple rear cameras that look reminiscent to Huawei P20 Pro, and an upper mid-range Qualcomm chipset.
Lenovo Z5s price
The Lenovo Z5s price in China has been set at RMB 1,398 (~Rs 15,000) for the base 4GB + 64GB variant, while the 6GB + 64GB option costs RMB 1,598 (~Rs 17,000). The top-end 8GB + 128GB model costs RMB 1,898 (~Rs 20,000). The handset is available for sale exclusively in China on December 24th in Black, Gradient Purple, and Gradient Orange colour options. There’s also a special Lenovo Z5s Zhuhai Yilong special edition model that costs RMB 1,998 (~Rs 23,000).

Talking about the specifications, Lenovo Z5s flaunts a 6.3-inch display with Full HD+ (1,080 x 2,340) resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Thanks to the ultra-slim bezels, the handset flaunts a screen-to-body ratio of 92.6 percent. Under the hood, the phone is driven by Snapdragon 710 chipset, accompanied by Adreno 640 GPU and Game Turbo to further enhance gaming performance. The phonemaker packs the device with three RAM and storage configuration: 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB.
In the camera department, the Lenovo Z5s flaunts an AI-backed 8-megapixel f/2.4 primary sensor, paired with a 16-megapixel f/1.8 secondary sensor and a 5-megapixel f/2.4 shooter. On the front for selfies, it gets a 16-megapixel shooter. Powering the device is Android 9 Pie-based Lenovo’s ZUI launcher out of the box. A 3,300mAh battery with 18W fast-charging keeps the show running. Lastly, connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and micro USB port.
The Lenovo Z5s Zhuhai Yilong special edition model is identical to the standard option in terms of hard but sports the actor’s signature on the back.
