After the global launch, OnePlus has announced the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition (first impression) smartphone in India. The handset comes with a new design, inspired by racing car maker McLaren Automotive. Unlike the regular variant, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition has Papaya Orange accents that fade to black on the back, and the glass on the rear has a textured pattern underneath that has been made using the automative’s carbon fibre. The phone also has a custom OxygenOS theme and matching accessories.

Apart from that, the device supports OnePlus’s latest ‘Warp Charging’ that is said to be faster than the ‘Dash Charging’. Lastly, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is the first smartphone with 10GB of RAM in India.

The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition price in India is set at Rs 50,999, making it the most expensive OnePlus device yet. The phone goes for sale starting December 13th.

Apart from the upper mentioned changes, the core specifications of OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is the same as the regular variant. The handset is driven by Snapdragon 845 SoC and sports a 6.41-inch optic Full HD+ AMOLED display with waterdrop-style notch and in-display fingerprint sensor. The storage onboard is 256GB that is non-expandable. A 3,700mAh battery fuels the handset, which is said to add a day’s power in just 20 minutes thanks to the 30W Warp charging.
Other features include dual 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel sensors on the rear with LED flash and a 20-megapixel sensor up front for selfies. The phone boots Android 9 Pie-based exclusive OxygenOS out of the box. Connectivity options include dual-SIM dual VoLTE support, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, and GPS/ GLONASS. Of course, no 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone.
