Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ new renders show display hole for selfie camera

“The Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ are expected to sport 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch 2K+ AMOLED displays, respectively”

Samsung’s upcoming premium smartphones – the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Lite, and Galaxy S10+ – have been consistently in and out of the rumour mill for the past few months. Samsung will reportedly take the wraps off the offerings next year on February 20th and release the handsets in the market the following month. However, before that, PhoneArena has come up with renders of the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus that give us a two-dimensional view of phones. The images are based on the preliminary information about the devices, including leaked photos and rumours.

Straight off the bat, both premium Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ can be seen with a curved edge-to-edge display with really thin bezels at the top and bottom. The screen of the devices seems to flaunt a punched-hole style selfie camera at the top-right corner. While the Galaxy S10+ will reportedly have this cut-out in oval shape due to dual front cameras, the regular S10 is likely to sport a single circular camera opening.

Moving on to the rear, the renders suggest that Galaxy S10+ will come with a horizontally-aligned triple camera module with LED flash. This contradicts the OnLeaks renders, which claim a quad camera setup on the rear panel of Galaxy S10+. Sadly, we don’t have the render of Galaxy S10’s rear-panel yet, but it’s reported to be the same as its elder sibling in design and camera placement. The entry-level Galaxy S10 Lite, on the other hand, is expected to sport a single camera on the front and dual cameras on the back. As for the edges, the Galaxy S10 and S10+ can be seen flaunting speaker grill, USB type-C, and 3.5mm headphone jack (probably the last Samsung flagship with the audio interface) at the bottom. The right spine will have a power button, while the right spine has a volume rocker and Bixby button.

Coming to the specifications, the Galaxy S10 will reportedly feature a 6.1-inch 2K Super AMOLED display and measure 157.7 x 75 x 7.8mm. The Galaxy S10+, on the other hand, is expected to pack 6.4-inch 2K Super AMOLED display and measure 148.9 x 70.9 x 7.8mm. The handsets are likely to employ either Snapdragon 855 SoC or Exynos 9820 SoC based on markets, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB expandable storage.

The camera, battery, and other features of the offerings are vague at the moment; however, a report claims that the Galaxy S10 will come with a starting price of roughly Rs 65,000. The Galaxy S10+ will reportedly cost about Rs 75,000 for the base variant, while the Galaxy S10 Lite will come with a base sticker price of Rs 55,000. Apart from these variants, Samsung is expected to launch a 5G model of Galaxy S10, alleged dubbed as Galaxy S10 X. The handset has been tipped to employ 1TB of native storage and cost more than Rs 1,00,000.
