Samsung reportedly using yellow and red colours only on Galaxy S10 Lite

“Samsung has reportedly chosen six colours for the upcoming Galaxy S10 lineup, including white, black, blue, green, yellow and red”

Samsung is inching closer towards the launch of its much talked-about flagship of 2019, the Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup. Next year, Samsung is expected to launch a total of four devices as part of the Galaxy S10 lineup, including a new Galaxy S10 Lite and a Galaxy S10 5G, alongside the usual S10 and S10 Plus. Earlier, it was reported that Samsung has chosen a total of six colours for the Galaxy S10 lineup, including white, black, blue, green, yellow and red. Now, a new report states that while the first four colours will be available across all devices of the Galaxy S10 lineup, only the least expensive model, the Galaxy S10 Lite, will have the yellow and red shades.

Samsung Galaxy S10_5K_3The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is expected to be a reasonably less expensive variant in the otherwise pricey Galaxy S10 lineup. The S10 Lite is expected to get only a dual-camera unit at the rear, alongside dropping down to modest numbers in terms of RAM and storage. That said, the Galaxy S10 Lite is expected to retain the Infinity-O display as the rest of its lineup, featuring a single camera built into the display. The S10 Lite is also slated to house a significantly smaller battery in comparison to the rest of the phones in the lineup, which should be pretty obvious given the smaller size. Giving quirky shades to the least expensive phone of a lineup is seemingly becoming a popular strategy, with Apple having done so previous with the iPhone 5c, and now with the iPhone XR.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Galaxy S10 Plus 5G is expected to be an expensive smartphone that would remain exclusive to specific regions, depending on which 5G spectrum it uses. There have also been rumours about a possible ceramic finish being prepared by Samsung, which would have limited finishes in black and white. It is possible that the Galaxy S10 5G gets the ceramic treatment, seeing that it is anyway set to be an exclusive device.
