A new set of leaks has revealed key details about this upcoming Android One-toting handset from the Chinese company. Punch-hole camera design

The newest trend among manufacturers who want to do away with the notch, while also offering full-screen front surfaces, is the punch-hole camera. This approach results in a tiny hole in the display, which is used to house the front-facing camera. Rumour has it the Samsung Galaxy S10 phones will be adopting the same design, and a number of other manufacturers have seemingly jumped the gun as well. Motorola will apparently be pushing a 4,132mAh battery inside the P40. This will be a huge upgrade over its predecessor, which offered just a 3000mAh power pack. It also means you can expect claims of two-day battery life for the phone. And some form of fast charging will also most likely be provided by the company. Don’t expect support for wireless charging though.

Other features

Not surprisingly, the P40 is expected to ship with Android 9.0 Pie. This latest software from Google comes equipped with several new features like Digital Wellbeing, Adaptive Battery, easier text selection and more. And this Motorola phone will be released as an Android One device, which means fast and timely software updates will also be rolled out for it. Another trait that it is tipped to have adopted is NFC support.

Motorola P40 expected pricing and availability 

There’s no word yet on when the Motorola P40 will be officially launched, but we can guess that its arrival is right around the corner. Just like its predecessor, it’s expected to come with a mid-range price tag.
