Xiaomi Mi A2 price in India slashed permanently in offline stores, now starts at Rs 13,999

Xiaomi has slashed the prices of its second-gen stock Android smartphone, the Mi A2 (review), in India. The Mi A2 will now retail for Rs 13,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, down from its initial price of Rs 15,999. Its top-end model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, on the other hand, will set you back to Rs 15,999 instead of Rs 18,999. The new prices are said to be effective from today across all authorised offline distributors. Xiaomi’s official e-store – Mi.com – still reflects Mi A2 with old prices.
Xiaomi Mi A2 specifications
Xiaomi introduced Mi A2 smartphone — the successor to Mi A1 — back in August 2018. The handset comes with a near stock-Android 8.1 Oreo running out of the box. It sports a 5.99-inch IPS display with Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage, which can be further expandable. The dual-SIM handset in the photography department features dual 12-megapixel + 20-megapixel sensors on the rear with LED flash whereas on the front, for selfies and video calling, it is equipped with a 20-megapixel shooter.
The handset is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging support. Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared, GPS/ GLONASS, and Type-C port for charging and connecting audio accessories. Lastly, the Mi A2 comes in four shades: Black, Gold, Lake Blue, and Rose Gold.
