Xiaomi set to launch Mi TV on January 10th, likely to be a Flipkart exclusive

Xiaomi has already teased recently that it will soon be launching one or more Mi TV models in the country in the coming days. Now, the brand has gone ahead and tweeted that the launch event will take place on January 10th at 11am in India. It is being speculated that the brand might launch a large screen smart TV on the said date.

The company has been teasing the launch of the upcoming TV extensively on its social media with the hashtag “TheBiggerPicture“, indicating at the screen size of the upcoming launch. At present, Xiaomi has 43-inch, 49-inch and 55-inch Mi LED TVs in its Indian line-up. It will be safe to assume that the new Mi TV will come with a screen size higher than 43-inch. While Xiaomi has not revealed any details regarding the upcoming TV offering, Flipkart has put up a teaser image revealing several key details including the fact that the new offering might be a Flipkart exclusive.


On its teaser page, Flipkart is asking its customers to “Gear Up For The #BigTVRevolution“, which again points towards a larger screen. Further, the teaser page suggests that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi TV will be a one stop hub for all entertainment needs of the user including movies, music and app. Further, the teaser page also shows a new Mi remote emphasising on the voice control feature. However, no further details regarding the upcoming launch is known at the moment.

Flipkart has also suggested on the teaser page that more information will be added on January 8th, so stay tuned.
