Realme X specifications, prices tipped in new leak
“Realme X mid-range phone is tipped to come with Snapdragon 730 SoC, VOOC 3.0 fast-charging, dual rear cameras, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5”
After gaining a commendable user base in India, Realme plans to enter the Chinese market very soon. Recently, an alleged Realme X appeared on TENAA and again on the company’s promotional video with a pop-up selfie camera. Now, according to noted leaker Ishan Agarwal, the new-age brand will be launching two smartphones in China – the Realme X and Realme X Youth/ Lite Edition.
I can confirm that Realme will launch 2 phones in China: Realme X (with Pop-Up Camera) and Realme X Youth/Lite. Now, I don’t know for sure but the phone that appeared on TENAA may be the Realme X whereas Realme 3 Pro may launch as Realme X Youth… #Realme #RealmeX pic.twitter.com/qIEupFB0VC

As per Agarwal, the Realme X will be the model that made an appearance on TENAA yesterday, while Realme 3 Pro will be marketed as Realme X Lite/ Youth Edition in China. While he didn’t reveal anything else about the handsets yet, a Weibo user has shared some insights about the handsets.
This tipster claims the Realme X will have a notch-less design, thanks to the pop-up selfie sensor, which is visible in the leaked images. Contrary to the reports, the Realme X might be powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 730 SoC, and rival against the upcoming Xiaomi phone with the same chipset. Furthermore, it is expected to come with VOOC 3.0 fast-charging support, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer. It is said to rock dual rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor and 5MP secondary depth unit.
The Realme X with Snapdragon 730 said to come in three variants – 6GB+ 64GB that is said to be priced at RMB 1,599 (around $240), while the 6GB + 128GB is likely to cost RMB 1,799 (around $270), lastly the high-end 8GB + 128GB will set you back by RMB 1,999 (around $300). Realme is also said to launch its flagship, dubbed as the Realme X Pro with Snapdragon 855, at a later date. Though we don’t have any other details about the flagship at the moment, the flagship will reportedly cost RMB 2,299 (around $342) for the base 6GB + 128GB model and RMB 2,599 (around $386) for the 8GB + 128GB model.
Realme phones that were recently spotted on the website of China’s telecom authority TENAA had model numbers RMX1851 and RMX1901. While the latter is speculated to belong to Realme X, the former belongs to Realme 3 Pro, which is expected to launch as Realme X Youth/ Lite edition, corroborating with the leaks. Since everything is based on rumours and leaks and nothing is official, so we suggest you take this with a pinch of salt.
