Rumoured OnePlus truly wireless earbuds may launch soon, company teases

OnePlus foraying in truly wireless earbuds market has been in the news for a while now. Back in December, a leaked promotional teaser had suggested that the company was working TWS earbuds. Now, as the company gears up to launch the OnePlus 8-series of smartphones, there’s a good chance the earbuds might be unveiled on the same stage. In-line with that, OnePlus India appears to be teasing the launch of the wireless earphones on Twitter. While it doesn’t explicitly mention or reveal anything about them just yet, the tweet reads “Looking at the way to free your music or looking at a sign. Maybe both!” along with an image of both OnePlus Bullets Wireless models.

The OnePlus earbuds could retain the the Bullets wireless earbuds shape and colour scheme with red accents, while offering a complete cord-free experience. This also means the TWS earbuds should have silicone ear tips for better fit and comfort. The earbuds may also have active noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5 connectivity, and easy pair features, which are some trendy features expected from true wireless earbuds in 2020. Unfortunately, not much else is known about the OnePlus truly wireless earbuds at the moment, but since the brand has started teasing, we might come across more information going forward.

Separately, OnePlus is tipped to revive the OnePlus X series in 2020 under a different brand. While details regarding the phone aren’t clear, it’s possible we might be looking at the rumoured OnePlus 8 Lite launching as the OnePlus Z. The phone is tipped to pack triple rear cameras, 90Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensitiy 1000SoC, a punch-hole display to accommodate the selfie camera and is said to start at GBP 400 (around Rs 37,500).
