OPPO A92 renders leaked; design looks similar to OPPO A72

OPPO has launched a flurry of A-series smartphones lately, and it’s not stopping just yet. The vendor is now gearing up to launch another smartphone called OPPO A92. The alleged renders of the handset have surfaced online, and it seems that the A92 could be a rehashed version of the recently unveiled OPPO A72. For starters, the handset seems to have the same design. As per the images shared by GSMArena (posted on Patreon by popular tipster Evan Blass), the OPPO A92 will come in Aurora Purple colour with gradient finish and glass layer atop. The phone is likely to come with a punch-hole display with quad-camera setup making an “L” shape inside a rectangular module. The OPPO A92 is tipped to feature come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner underneath the power button on the right spine, while the left spine may house volume buttons.
OPPO A92 specifications
The OPPO A92 specifications include a 6.5-inch full-HD+ LCD display. The phone is tipped to rock the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM under the hood. That’s the same chipset as OPPO A72, though with more RAM. The quad rear cameras of the handset could house 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP portrait camera. For selfies and video chats, there could be a 16MP sensor on the front. Software-wise, the phone will most likely boot ColorOS 7-based Android 10 out of the box. A 5,000mAh battery could fuel the handset. Lastly, the OPPO A92 could come in Aurora Purple, Shining White, and Twilight Black colours.
There is no launch date for the OPPO A92, but as reported by 91mobiles, the handset is expected to launch in India with OPPO F15s moniker once the lockdown ends. The handset is believed to be the entry-level offering of OPPO’s F-series lineup.
