Honor 50 and Honor 50 Lite with Google Mobile Services launched: price, specifications
Honor 50 and Honor 50 Lite phones have finally launched globally. The former was launched in China back in June and was introduced in Malaysia last week. The Honor 50 Lite is a cheaper version of the Honor 50. The Honor 50 comes with a 120Hz OLED display, a large 108MP primary camera sensor on the back, Android 11 OS with MagicUI 4.0, 66W fast charging support, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. It has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, circular rings on the back for rear cameras, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The Honor 50 Lite has a pill-shaped punch-hole cutout and a circular module on the rear housing quad-camera lenses. Both phones come with Google Mobile Services instead of Honor Mobile Services seen on the Chinese version.
Honor 50 and Honor 50 Lite prices
Honor 50 price is Euros 529 (around Rs 46,100) for the 8GB + 128GB version and Euros 599 (around Rs 52,200) for the 8GB + 256GB model. It is available to order in Europe from October 27th till November 3rd and will be on sale from November 4th. Customers pre-ordering the phone will get a free True Wireless Honor Earbuds 2 Lite earbuds.
The HONOR 50 Lite is priced at Euros 299 (approx Rs 26,100) for the 6GB + 128GB version. It will be available from November 18th.

Honor 50 sports a 6.57-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2340 X 1080 pixels resolution, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1.07 billion colours, and DCI-P3 wide colour gamut. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and a USB Type-C audio. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers. There is a 4,300mAh battery with 66W SuperCharge fast charging support and a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. It runs on Android 11 based MagicUI 4.2 custom skin out of the box.
The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G SoC with Adreno 642L GPU. It packs either 6GB or 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Honor 50 has a quad-camera setup on the back, with a 108MP (f/1.9) primary camera, an 8MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro camera. The phone measures 159.96× 73.76× 7.78mm and weighs 175 grams.
Honor 50 Lite specifications
Honor 50 Lite has a slightly larger 6.67-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2376 X 1080 pixels resolution. It has quad cameras on the back, with a 64MP (f/1.9 aperture) primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. It measures 161.8 ×74.7×8.5mm and weighs 192 grams. There is a 4,300mAh battery with 66W SuperCharge fast charging.
While the chipset details aren’t revealed, it is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 662 SoC. It packs 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB native storage. The phone runs on Android 11 with Magic UI 4.2 custom skin out of the box. Connectivity features include 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port.
