Honor 9N launching in India on July 24, could be re-branded version of Honor 9i

Huawei online sub-brand, Honor has rolled out its press invite for a launch event in India scheduled for July 24. At the event, the company is being expected to unveil a new phone, dubbed as the Honor 9N. Since the Chinese phone maker was expected to launch its Honor 9i in the country, the Honor 9N could be the same phone with a re-branded name.

Honor cleared the name of the device through its India Twitter handle. There it said, “Ordinary, is boring. Dare to break the conventions of beauty & go beyond the ordinary? Tell us your unique story of how you are #NoOrdinaryBeauty in the comments & get a chance to win the upcoming #Honor9N!”
Apart from this, Honor didn’t divulge any details about its Honor 9N. Meanwhile, another GIF shared by the company comes with two Os that hint that the upcoming handset will feature a dual camera setup.

If Honor 9N is in fact the Honor 9i, it will feature a 5.84-inch FHD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch on top. At its core, the phone is likely to rock a mid-range octa-core Kirin 659 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB storage space. The phone will come running on Android Oreo-based EMUI and house a 3,000mAh battery.
For photography, the Honor 9N is expected to feature a combination of 13MP and 2MP rear camera sensors with dual-tone LED flash, AI scene detection, and PDAF. At the front, the smartphone will feature a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture lens.
As for the pricing, the Honor 9N to cost anywhere around Rs 15,000 in India. The phone is likely to be available in Charm Blue, Dream Purple, and Magic Night Black colour options.
