Xiaomi teases the Mi A2 Android One smartphone ahead of July 24th launch

Earlier this month, Xiaomi sent out invites for a global product launch event in Spain on July 24th. At the event, the company is expected to launch its second Android One smartphone, the Mi A2. Now ahead of the event, the Chinese electronics giant has started teasing the upcoming offering. In a tweet, the brand has confirmed that it will be launching the Xiaomi Mi A2 in the near future. Sadly, the brand hasn’t revealed the launch date for the device, but it’s likely to happen on the previously announced date, July 24th. The phone is expected to be the global variant of the Mi 6X.

As for the features, the Xiaomi Mi A2 is expected to feature a 5.99-inch full HD+ 2.5D curved glass screen, and boot stock version of Android Oreo. The phone is rumoured to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, and come in multiple RAM and storage configurations like 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB. The handset could feature an all-metal unibody design and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
In the imaging department, the Xiaomi Mi A2 is expected to sport a 12MP primary shooter at the back, accompanied by a 20MP secondary snapper. On the front, it could feature a 20MP selfie camera. A 3,010mAh battery is expected to keep the handset running. The phone is rumoured to be available in multiple colour variants – black, rose gold, red, gold, or blue.
