OPPO Find X with an all-screen front and pop-up cameras launched in India for Rs 59,990
“OPPO’s latest flagship offers a massive screen-to-body ratio of 93.8 percent”
After introducing its latest flagship, the Find X, in Paris last month, OPPO has finally launched the phone in India at an event today. The latest offering from the Chinese OEM comes with a staggering 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio and an unconventional design where both the front and rear cameras pop-up from the top edge.

For the uninitiated, the OPPO Find X flaunts a motorised section with a linear actuator in the middle. This module pops up and down whenever the cameras are in use or whenever you need to unlock the device using face detection. The phone has a glass body design, a bezel-less fascia, and a curved screen. Since there is no fingerprint sensor onboard, OPPO has packed the phone with 3D face unlock system, which is dubbed the O-Face Recognition. There’s dedicated hardware onboard that can omit 3D Structured Light to scan the user’s 15,000 facial points. This allows for face unlock functionality as well as creating of animated emojis called Omoji.

Moving on to the core specs, the OPPO Find X sports a 6.42-inch 19.5:9 OLED full HD+ display. The smartphone is powered by the top-of-the-line 2.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, which is aided by 8GB of RAM and an Adreno 540 GPU. The storage capacity on board is 128GB / 256GB, which is non-expandable. The handset runs Android Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1 out of the box, and is fuelled by a 3,730mAh battery with VOOC fast charging support.
In the imaging department, the Find X features a 16-megapixel primary shooter at the rear, complemented by a secondary 20-megapixel snapper. On the front, you get a 25-megapixel camera. In terms of connectivity, you get 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS, and USB Type-C.

Coming to the pricing, the Oppo Find X has been priced at Rs Rs 59,990, and will be available to buy on Flipkart and offline stores across India. The phone is being offered in Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue colours. The pre-orders for the handset will start from July 30th, and it will be going on sale starting August 3rd.
