Vivo Z1i’s new variant with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC spotted on Geekbench

“The Vivo Z1i’s earlier model was launched with a Snapdragon 636 processor”

Earlier this month, Vivo launched its latest Z series smartphone called the Vivo Z1i in its home market of China. The phone arrived as a mid-range offering with a Snapdragon 636 SoC. Now it appears that the company is planning to launch yet another variant of the Vivo Z1i, which has just been spotted on the benchmarking website Geekbench.

Vivo Z1i Geekbench Snapdragon 660

The new Vivo Z1i variant has been listed on the Geekbench with the same name as the earlier model. However, this one seems to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, which has a clock speed of 1.61GHz. The phone is running on Android 8.1.0 Oreo, and has 4GB of RAM. The handset has a single-core score of 1,343 and a multi-core score of 4,931.

Sadly, there’s no word when Vivo is planning to launch the Snapdragon 660 SoC-powered variant of the Vivo Z1i at the moment. Speculations indicate that the company could launch this model in global markets.
