ASUS launches new ZenBook series of laptops in India; prices start at Rs 66,990

Taiwanese tech conglomerate, ASUS unveiled a range of ZenBook laptops in India, today. The company introduced a trio of laptops in the form of the ZenBook Pro 15 (UX580), ZenBook S (UX391) and ZenBook 13 (UX331). Each of the laptops comes with some USPs, with the ZenBook Pro 15 being the flagship offering that sports a 5.5-inch touchscreen in place of a regular trackpad.

On the specifications front, the ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 (UX580) sports a NanoEdge 4K touch display measuring 15-inches. The brand is offering the laptop in two variants — one with the 8th-gen Intel Core i9 processor and the other with Intel Core i7 processor. Both the variants employ 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD storage. Connectivity options include up to 802.11ac gigabit-class Wi-Fi, USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C with Thunderbolt 3, USB Type-A and standard HDMI ports.

The Zenfone S (UX391) on the other hand, comes clad in a metal unibody design, is certified by MIL-STD 810G military-grade standard, and a 13.3-inch Full HD NanoEdge slim-bezel display. ASUS claims that the laptop is only 13.9mm thin and weighs only 985g. It’s powered by 8th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU paired with 8GB / 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. Moreover, the laptop has a new ErgoLift hinge design that lifts up the keyboard area making it easier to type along with offering better thermal management. As per the company, the laptop delivers up to 13.5 hours of battery life. In terms of ports, the device offers Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C port connectivity.

Lastly, the Zenfone 13 (UX331) laptop is the most affordable of the trip. It also comes with 13.3-inch UHD display which features similar military-grade toughness and slim bezels as its sibling. It employs 8th-gen Intel Core i7 processor aided by 8GB of RAM and 256GB / 512GB storage. The ZenBook 13 further boasts Harman Kardon audio and 20W lithium-polymer battery that could last up to 14 hours. Other features include a backlit keyboard, fingerprint sensor, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. As far as ports are concerned, the laptop offers a USB Type-C and Type-A slots, an HDMI port, microSD card slot

As for the price, the ZenBook 13 (UX331) starts at Rs 66,990, while the base model of the ZenBook S (UX391) will set you back by Rs 129,990. The flagship ZenBook Pro 15 (UX580) laptop has a starting price of Rs 179,990. These laptops will be available in the country from August 13th across e-commerce sites, LFR stores and ASUS’ channel partners.
