After its launch in Russia, OPPO has announced its latest budget-centric A1K smartphone in India. The handset comes with waterdrop-style notch display, 87.43 percent screen-to-body ratio, OPPO’s latest custom skin ColorOS 6.0, and a beefy battery. This is the second A series smartphone from OPPO within a month. Over a week ago, the vendor took the wraps off the OPPO A5s (first impressions) smartphone in the country. Priced at Rs 9,990 for the base 2GB RAM variant, the A5s features MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, dual rear cameras, and a 4,230mAh battery.

OPPO A1K price, availability
The OPPO A1K price in India has been set at Rs 8,490. The handset comes in two colour variants and is available for sale starting today on Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Tata CLiQ, PayTM Mall and all offline stores across the country.

As for the specifications, the OPPO A1K sports a 6.1-inch display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Corning’s Gorilla Glass protection. A 5-megapixel sensor for selfies is placed on the small cut-out atop the screen. At the back, the phone gets an 8-megapixel shooter, which the company claims uses multi-frame anti-vibration technology to control the light path for capturing sharper images. The A1K can also shoot images with depth effect via software processing.
At the OPPO A1K’s heart lies the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, which is user expandable up to 256GB via microSD cards. The handset boots Android ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery. There’s no fingerprint sensor on the phone for biometric security. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/GLONASS.
