Realme 3 (review) was launched in India back in March. The handset came in two variants of 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. Now, the company has announced a new 3GB RAM model with 64GB built-in storage, and it will be available starting May 2nd at 12am through Realme’s website and Flipkart. The handset sports a 6.2-inch HD+ display, MediaTek’s Helio P70 SoC and runs Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 skin on top.

The Realme 3 smartphone is priced at Rs 8,999 for the 3GB + 32GB storage variant, and the top-end 4GB + 64GB storage option will set you back by Rs 10,999. Since the new 3GB RAM and 64GB storage sits in between the existing models, it’s expected to be priced at Rs 9,999. The handset comes in Diamond Black, Gradient Blue, and Black colour options.

The Realme 3 sports a 6.2-inch HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and brightness of 450 nits brightness. The screen also gets Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 layer. Thanks to a dewdrop notch up top, the phone has a screen-to-body ratio of 88.3 percent. The smartphone is powered by 12nm MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core chipset which is clocked at 2.1GHz and is paired with 900MHz ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The device ships with Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 skin on top. In the camera department, the Realme 3 rocks a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth shooter with LED flash. The front camera gets an AI-powered 13-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.

The camera features include PDAF fast focusing, Nightscape, Hybrid HDR, chroma boost, AI beautification, and portrait mode. The handset can record full HD videos at 30fps and 720p slow-mo videos at 90fps. For security, there’s a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock. The phone is splash- and dust-proof and packs a 4,230mAh battery, though there’s no support for fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual SIM support, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ GLONASS.
